Episode 38 covers the fourteenth Pink Floyd studio album, 1994’s “The Division Bell.” The second Pink Floyd album recorded without founding member Roger Waters, The Division Bell was written mostly by guitarist and singer David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright. It features Wright's first lead vocal on a Pink Floyd album since The Dark Side of the Moon (1973). Gilmour's fiancée, novelist Polly Samson, co-wrote many of the lyrics, which deal with themes of communication. It was the last Pink Floyd album recorded with Wright, who died in 2008. Finally.... a proper 80s album from the Floyd. Flipping the script, now more of a David solo album to some, but does this one actually deliver compared to a Roger hounded album? Surrounded by legal battles with Pink Floyd carrying on the name without Roger Waters in the band, did Dave and Nick deliver under pressure? Episode 37 covers the thirteenth Pink Floyd studio album, 1987's "A Momentary Lapse of Reason."
